With Williams F1 rumored pretty much confirmed to be in bed with Martini over their new chassis, and the rejoice of Formula 1 fans everywhere for their new lovechild, the question arises of whether any other classic racing livery has ever had such a dramatic effect on fans.
If I forget any liveries that you think deserve to be listed (which will probably be the case), please point them and why you think they deserve recognition, preferably with a gorgeous picture. [ These should be liveries that risen from a partnership with an exterior firm, not from the racing team themselves (in order to narrow down the list) ]

You need to add a national color livery section

I was going to bitch about the omission of rosso corsa , but then I read the fine print. So I went with the JP Special. Because really, this car oozes sex appeal. And it's also the first car I remember from my childhood. I had a Matchbox of this one.

I voted for JPS. The fact that today's F1 Lotus tries to copy it and looks horrible proves how good the original was.

I had to go with Martini, but only because I couldn't pick both Martini and Gulf. Among many, those are the liveries that made the greatest impact upon my adolescence, when the only things I could think about was cars, girls and music (the order strictly depending upon the circumstances at hand).

Does anyone else find it strange that Petty blue and Gulf blue are so similar, when the two racing disciplines at the time could not have been further apart?

I'm not saying any of the rest of these are bad, but how in the HELL is Marlboro/McLaren at only 5% right now? Are we that afraid of tobacco?

The STP Petty cars were the first race car liveries I have a conscious memory of.
